Does KU Deserve a Share?

| | Comments (4)

Well, the pundits can no longer say that KU has not played anyone. Tonight, they beat the Virginia Tech Hokies to improve to 12-1, capping one hell of a season.

Now, I have to ask: If LSU beats Ohio State (or even if Ohio State wins) does KU deserve a share of the national title?

I think so. They got through a crazy season with only one loss (to a Missouri team that beat the dog piss out of Arkansas, who actually beat LSU).

Ohio State plays in the Big Ten, and I really don't feel that their schedule was any harder than KU's. Has anyone seen what the Big 12 did this year in bowls? Except for Oklahoma laying an egg against West Virginia, they've done pretty well.

They didn't even win their own Conference though. Heck, they didn't even win their own Division within their own Conference. They are a solid Top 10 team, maybe even Top 5 - but not #1.

How anyone could put KU ahead of Mizzou in the final poll is beyond me. Maybe mizzou #2, Ku #3, but georgia and west virginia also have a shot, and dont sleep on voter favorite USC

Yeah, KU blew it when they lost to Mizzou and then Mizzou turned around and pissed it down their legs (and that almost loss to Illinois looked really bad after Illinois' showing in the bowls). But is it really a surprise? The Big 12 continues to fuck it up for themselves. If we would be a bunch of pussies like the Big 10 and not have a championship, Mizzou would have been playing in the MNC, and how can we even think about ranking Mizzou #2 after Oklahoma's shitty game against WV?

Sorry, I should probably take that back since the Big 10 sucked balls this year... even a 1-loss Ohio State shouldn't have been considered for the MNC... And a playoff won't solve shit...
